Jake and Kari

Horseshoe bend!

2 and 1/2 months married and things are still going good here for us. Jake was to called to be the assistant ward mission leader and I as his companion. We got put to work right away, we are out with missionaries, meeting new people and the work is just awesome! Our ward building has a courtyard in the center and we are the only ward that meets there! The first time we walked into the building we said wait we're still outside!! Jake has still been doing well with school and his job. We still aren't for certain if University of Phoenix will hire him on but we are hoping for some news soon. We are gearing up for a BUSY October! We have two wedding trips to make to Utah that will be a quick trip there and back. We are going to Disneyland with my folks for my dad's birthday, we just got back from Lake Powell again this summer, and the most excited trip to come will be our HONEYMOON!!! FINALLY! Jake's job wouldn't allow him to miss a day or be late because of his contract so we had to put it off, and then when his contract got extended we freaked out a little bit and  wanted to make sure we could take one before it got to late. So after trying to work it all out:  We leave on Oct 31 to Long Beach California for a 4 night cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico! We are super thrilled because neither of us have been on a cruise, Jakes never seen the Ocean and we got a super amazing deal on it that fit our budget! So we are excited to learn how it all works and get the experience on what it's like to go on a cruise. We hope all is going well for everyone, we miss you and look forward to the quail hunting trip thats coming up soon! love you!!

Life!

Hey all!

Life has been crazy but good here at the Cole Frei household. Loren is 2 months old, has his first shots, and is starting to sleep through the night!  Lilu has gone to a new home where she is very loved...Nikki and J.C's! Eli is a butt-sniffer so we will see about him.

Loren is getting blessed this weekend and we are very excited for that. He has a handsome blessing outfit that you will all get to see on Sunday!

Cole is still planning on graduating in October with his BA in Marketing. He is loving work and school. He has been called to be Cub Master and went to his first Pack Meeting last night. It sounds like it is going to be a very fun calling!

Ashlee has started school again as well but hopefully will not be returning to work. She is scheduled to graduate in about a year and a half, but if she can work it right it will be sooner! She is loving being a stay at home Mom.

That's all for us!

March Madness:

This month Jake and Kari have just been keeping busy. Jake quit his job and has started to build up the window cleaning business. It's starting to pick up which is good because he has a hard time sitting still. His school is going good and he joined a gym and loves to go work out. Also, he includes fishing AS MUCH AS HE CAN since he discovered we are only about 6 miles away from the Salt River. Kari has been busy with school projects and getting ready to graduate in May. She had her bridal shower and got lots of housing gifts to decorate. We are excited to put them in use. Also, we were able to go up to the mountains this month and visit with family and we both agree it was fun. Both of our family's got to together for haystacks, and played some really funny games. Wedding plans are still coming along good. Just three months left. As far as that goes we are doing good and excited that the weather down here is getting nice and warm. YAY!  Love ya'll. Jake and Kari.

RECENT EVENTS WITH THE KENT FREI FAMILY

Sid was ordained an Elder by his dad on January 16th. It is hard to believe he has reach this age!  We are proud of this decision he has made in his life.
Then Thad turned 14 on February 28th. He had a big party the weekend before with alot of friends. He had a good ole time. The house was full as we fed them all hot dogs and then Sid and Vic took them to the school field to play games like capture the flag, British bulldog and whiplash(you all hold hand and make a train, then run and move back and forth). Then they ate brownies and ice cream as he opened his presents. He was excited to get quite a bit of money! Then he had a family party on his Birthday. On Sunday March 6th He was ordained a teacher by his dad. It was real cool that Vic got to stand in because he was a priest. We are very proud of Thad's great decisions he has made thus far in life!
Sid on March 26th Sid went through the Snowflake, AZ temple for his endowment. What an exciting time for him! It is amazing how much Sid's testimony has grown this year through his hard work at studying for his mission. He got a letter from his mission Pres. and his wife telling him more about where he will be serving and more of what to expect. He will serve in the Sub mission of Vanuatu and learn the language of Bislama. He is excited about this and already had a feeling he would need to learn it.
Vic has been hanging in there with going to Seminary every weekday morning and coming home and working with dad, whenever there is work. It has been slow with work because of the weather, but is picking up now that everyone is in the spring cleaning mood. Vic and Sid tore down the old chicken coop to rebuild as a shed for tools and dad's fly tying stuff. He also has gotten his  gas power remote control car running . He is so good at taking apart and putting together this car. Vic is well loved by his nieces, especially Saumalie.
Luke and Drake are still doing real well in school! They got  awards at an assembly where their parents and peers attended. Luke got on the Superintendents list, meaning he got all A's and A+'s.  Drake also received an award for being on the principals list. He received all A's and B's. They have  done well all year. It is rewarding as parents to see how well their children do in school. Drake and Luke both enjoy going to Cub Scouts weekly. Luke is the only one in his den and Drake and one other boy is in his den. They are always learning and growing.
Dad and mom are busy with their church callings  and the family. Dad has been real busy with school and did real well with his last class(math). He got a week break before starting his next math class. We love all of you grown children and wish you the best in life. Love you all!

FebRuaRy:

Busy Busy BUSY!!!
As short as February is, it is so insane.
Big News: The wedding date has changed to June 25th, so we pray that it still works out for everyone. We did get the first half of our engagement pictures back. Heres a sneak peak:

This month we celebrated Kari's 21st birthday, her sister's 15th birthday, grandparent's big 50th anniversary party, a homecoming celebration (Kari's cousin came home from Brazil), a funeral, and we finally were able to spend valentines together after two years! And these events all occurred within 6 days back to back!

Also: Congrats to Cole and Ashlee! He's adorable!

January

Hello family! Congrats to Jake and Kari!!!

It's week 33 for baby Loren and he is getting big! His favorite game is bladder-trampoline and he plays it all day. His strategy is to wait until Mom is in the middle of a conversation or work and then to go "Hi-yah!" and jump as hard and fast he can!

Ashlee is in the middle of school, work, and pregnancy and juggling all three quite well. She weighs more than she has ever weighed in her life, to the pleasure of her doctor.

Cole is also juggling school and work, along with the prospect of being a daddy very soon! He is very excited and trying to lose some sympathetic pregnancy weight :)

Lilu and Eli are both doing well and loving their new game of Find the Treat. We hide treats under the rug and in corners and then they come out and whoever finds the most treats wins! The prize is getting to go in their kennel and going to bed. With another treat.

Til next month!

ENGAGED!!!

                 We're getting MARRIED!
  April 23, 2011
  Colors: GREEN & White
  LOVE: JAKE AND KARI

Hello Frei Family!

It's a new year and the perfect time for everyone to start keeping in touch in a convenient way! Here is a place where everyone can post pictures, blog about whats going on, and share exciting news with the family.

Since we are all getting spread out, a blog is perfect for us all to upload recent pictures and keep in touch! So here is what we think would be the funnest: every family post at least once a month to keep the family updated on how you are doing! Birthday's, baby's, hunting trips, etc.

Have a great time!
